  • How do you go about having your Orchard Bank Card report to credit bureaus?

I have always wondered how prepaid work. I have an Orchard Bank card and am interested in having them report my purchases to the three credit bureaus.

    • Anjell 2:56 pm on October 10, 2010

Pre paid credit cards are supposed to be reported anyway. Are you sure that Orchard doesn’t report?
If not just switch out to another card company like Capital One who does.

You can use this credit monitoring service to pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of such payments – credit-report-score.10001mb.com

  • How do I get money off my credit card to my bank account?

The is a gift card that I bought from simon mall. Its a gift card that can be used anywhere but it counts as a . I have a bank I just made, (Savings Account) at washington mutal and want to get money off my credit gift card and into my savings account. How do I do this? Please help!

    • laurena117 11:56 am on October 10, 2010

See if the gift card company has an unloading option and what the fee is if there is any. If it is a credit card take it to the bank and get a cash advance to get the physical cash.

    • Duane B 11:56 am on October 10, 2010

Is this a gift card or a credit card?? These are 2 different things! A credit card has horrible interest rates for cash advances and a gift card may not have any cash advance options at all! If it is a GIFT card, try taking it to your bank and telling them what you want to do with it.

    • dirtslinger6 11:56 am on October 10, 2010

it is a gift card and has to be used that way it is already loaded with cash and can not be changed back to cash..

  • How do you get a credit card when you have bad credit?

I have checked online and everything, but it seems no one will give me a , unless they make you pay for it or it’s a scam.

    • David G 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

First of all if you already have bad credit, 86 the idea of accumulating more debt by attempting to get a card. Change your habits and deal with cash only until you learn to manage your money and improve your credit worthiness. Do not attempt to put your self in a deeper hole.

    • anisarkisyan 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

There are banks that would be able to give you a credit card but you rate is going to be really high and there will be an annual fee too. You can always have someone get the card and you can be an authorized user.

    • jamal531 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

You may have to apply for a secured credit card. Try 1st premier bank card and provian banks

    • gitfinger2 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

Well your questions speaks for itself, You are not going to get another credit card if you have "bad" credit. it’s very unlikely. To get your credit rating back up a useful hint is to have a steady flow on money going into & out of your bank account of regular but frequent amounts. Also pay any bills you owe by Direct Debit / standing order. The Banks control your credit rating! Doing this will help.

    • sarell 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

Easy just apply for an application fill it in then write a letter saying that you have done this blah blah in the past and now you have turned over a new leaf. Staple this to the application form for it to be hand read and not go throught the computer for reply. Good luck keep trying the same companies and also try a site that compares credit cards so that you can pick the ones that always come up they are the ones that need you more than the other way around.

Make an appointment to talk to a banker/loan officer you know or who knows your family/employer, or is well-known to a good friend/relative of yours. Discuss what went wrong and how you firmly plan to make it right. Take matters in your own hands and make attempts to fix it the best way you know how.

By now her credit should be rotten and she is still getting invitations to credit cards in the mail.

So the answer to your question is YES and I have no idea why.

    • HotTea 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

Some banks offer credits cards made especially to help improve damaged credit. I know Bank of America offers it. Check with your local banks.

    • Christine O 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

There is three options for you, one is a pre-paid credit card and you can get those really anywhere now, or at your local currecny exchange which is a place you can cash your checks at and buy money orders.
or 2nd option you can go online to
http://www.credit-card-outlet.com this place one of these places will deffinetly give you a card, my sister got a card and has really bad credit!
      badcredit.creditcard321.com
      http://www.badcreditoffers.com
      http://www.creditcards.com
      cc.bridgetrack.com

3rd option is to try this http://www.creditcardsusa.net whish will give you a small line of credit, and you would have to pay it for a year while using it and then you can get a higher limit it basicly helps you fix your vcredit so other debter will then see that you can have a credit and therefor will also join in and give you theres
      good luck

    • garyomega 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

If you cannot clean up you credit report, usually you only option is a self-funded card, kinda like an ATM card. It won’t let you have a revolving balance, but perhaps that’s what got you in trouble in the first place? Anyway, a bank ATM will allow you to do everything a regular CC will except the revolving aspect. Of course you will need to have the funds in the bank to cover it.

    • jonny Atlantis 5:39 am on October 10, 2010

use you parnts address or another address that you know will have a good credit rating.

Sometimes you suffer because houses have been blacklisted and even though new people have moved in you are still penalised.

On the online application try exagerating a bit, say you earn a few grand more than you do, also say you are a Dr then you’re bound to get loads of credit.

      good luck

  • How do I register with itunes with no credit card?!?!?

I want to register with itunes but I don’t have a cedit card is there a way to regiaster with out using a card of buying the gift cards?

    • ant uk 2:23 pm on October 9, 2010

I bought an itunes gift card and when i redeemed it i still had to enter card details in order to complete the registration so i used my debit card.

    • My Addiction 2:23 pm on October 9, 2010

I went through this same thing. What you have to do is buy the iTunes gift cards and register that way. When you go to the home page of iTunes store, on the right side, there is a link labeled "Redeem". Click on that link and it takes you to a page where you enter your iTunes pin # (which is on the back of the card). From there you can complete your registration.

BTW…I had many conversations with the iPod folks and this is the only way you can do it. I even went out and purchased a pre-paid credit card and that won’t work either. It had something to do with the card matching your mailing address.

If you need some more help with it, please email me and I will walk you through it again.

      Good luck.

  • What shows up on your credit report when you report your credit card lost/stolen?

For example, if the changes your account number and moves everything to a new account, does your credit report now say that the old account is closed and you just opened a new account? I’m trying to figure out if you lose your old credit history when you do this—-especially if this is an account you’ve had for a while, and therefore is one of your oldest accounts since alot of credit is based on how long you’ve had things.

  • How do I transfer money from my Debit card to my credit card?

How can I transfer the money from one to the other (they’re on the same account) online, through HSBC bank?

    • MPCheu 12:13 pm on October 8, 2010

If they’re issued from the same bank, the online banking site should have an option to transfer funds. You just click on that, select the From and To accounts, and then enter how much you want to move.

They can’t be the same account, because banks treat credit card accounts as a separate account with its own number. It just shows up as if it was a second bank account registered to the same client.

The tone of your post suggests that you may well not be the most polite customer to get at the other end of a phone. Even when somebody has made an error (especially if not personally their own fault) they still deserve to be spoken to with respect because the person is a human being just like you.

    • Iffy 8:58 am on October 8, 2010

Read the back of your statement. It explains the steps in protesting the charges

    • Caveat Emptor 8:58 am on October 8, 2010

You dispute it using the lender’s established procedures. It sounds to me like you’re not talking about fraudulent charges but rather a charge from a retailer or vender that you just disagree with. If so, your dispute is with the vender – not the credit card lender.

  • How des the vendor side of a credit card dispute work?

Does the vendor get to see the details that the customer provided, including documentation? Or do they only get to respond with their side of the story and provide their own documentation?

I’m specifically interested in chargebacks for AMEX.

    • bdancer222 12:33 pm on October 7, 2010

While I’m not certain, it seems logical that the credit card company would provide the merchant with details of the dispute. The merchant would then have the opportunity to appeal any chargeback. It would be pretty difficult to respond if the merchant didn’t know why the charge was being disputed.

  • How do I get approved for a credit card?

Hello for over a month now I have been denied over 6 times from various companies, I have no credit or any debt but how the hell can I build my credit if I keep getting denied?? I am 25 yrs old and this is really starting to piss me off so does anyone have any good ideas for me to start getting my credit built up? I appreciate anything you have!

    • Mo 6:49 am on October 7, 2010

You can also join a credit union & start with their direct deposit for checking & open a savings acct too. After 6 to 10 mos, talk with them about a credit card. Credit unions are much more willing to give their members (you) a chance with credit.

For now…stop applying! All those recent inquiries are killing your credit scores!

When you are first starting out, don’t even try for Bank of America, AMEX, Discover, and other prime cards. They will deny you every time. They LOVE to see a long, clean history! Like 5 to 8 years of established revolving accts free of any late notes.

    • Ryan M 6:49 am on October 7, 2010

      You have two options:
      1) Secured credit cards
      2) Get a co-signer

    • Jason 6:49 am on October 7, 2010

You could try getting a debit card they are free and your credit quality usually doesn’t matter when it comes to getting one.You should be able to build a bit of credit history using a debit card.I would first try however to get one of those credit cards available to persons who have little to no credit at all.Like the ones on the site below.

      http://onlinecardapplication.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html

If that fails you can always try getting a debit card. Some of the best debit cards are also listed on the site above.

if that doesn’t work I don’t know what else would help you.

      All the best

WELL, YOU SHOULD GET A SECURED CREDIT CARD. THE BEST ONE IS THE ORCHARD BANK SECURED CARD. GO TO http://WWW.ORCHARDBANK.COM AND APPLY. YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR A REGULAR CARD ALSO. I HAVE A CARD WITH THEM AND IT IS AN EXCELLENT PROGRAM. FOR THE SECURED CARD ALL YOU NEED 200$. OTHERS START AT 300$ AND TAKE FOREVER TO GET.

    • stumpedII 3:50 am on October 7, 2010

credit cards are pure evil. credit cards will make you a slave to your debt/job. While debt might become required in your life.. for a house or a car.. or an emgergency.. it should be avoided. try to save up money for a car/house/emergency .. you benefit 2 fold.. instead of paying outragous interest on a debt you can collect some interest.. Credit cards are like stupid people id cards. Yeah they can provide an advantage in some cases.. but how many people pay off the debt every month.. and h ow many people end up trapped by debt.. paying ever increasing amounts of interest. Seems you think a credit card is a good thing.. I consider them dangerous foolish and a trap. at least to anyone that "needs" them. the rich probably have nothing to fear..

paying your bills on time.. ie phone bill .. electric bill .. paying other loans on time.. car payment etc.. these things build credit history.. and yes a debit card you pay in advance. things that show you have had a financial obligation and have met it.. NEVER be late.. and NEVER miss a payment. have a good income to debt ratio. and you’ll find yourself with more than enough credit to bankrupt yourself.

good luck.. and consider banning credit cards from your life.

    • leslie 3:50 am on October 7, 2010

Get interested in that because it is what you need to build your credit.

    • Bob 3:50 am on October 7, 2010

Start with trying to get credit from somebody who wants to sell you something. Car loans through a dealer and department store cards are easier to get than bank credit cards. Use the store cards for small purchases and pay them off. Six months to a year of this and you can get a bank card.

I tried doing the same thing. I first called them and this lady that sounded like she was not from the USA told me that I could not remove my credit card from my account !! can u believe it. its annoying because its so easy to link the credit card to xbox live but they make it so hard to remove . The lady said that if i wanted to remove it the credit card I would have to cancel my account and then go to xbox.com/ account settings, and remove the credit card online. This was not a good idea because i had just bought the 1 year gold membership two months ago, and i was gonna lose all my $50 if I cancelled my subscription, so after explaining that i just wanted to buy gold cards at my local walmart. she refunded me my $50 to my bank account, took like 2 days so i got two months free and am now selling my xbox 360 because im sick of all these propietary & expensive wireless adapters + hard drives. lol, chek it out is on ebay!

I tried doing something similar to what you’re doing. you cant remove it from the xbox.

      EDIT:
You can also go to xbox.com

My account is next to your gamerpic, in the MY XBOX drop down menu.
Then to go manage payment options
go to my account and remove other payment options

    • Les 4:04 pm on October 6, 2010

Good luck trying to remove your cc details .
If you goto xbox.com the link to remove the card is broken.
The callcenter staff are trianed to not allow you to remove your card.
Its a real stressful mission to remove it.
Heres how i did it ok….

Call the call center and report that the button is broken on xbox.com for removing CC details.
Now say that you have called 3 or 4 times to the call center and keep getting cut off and that you would like to speak to the team leader / manager.

Now you have thier attention also take the name of the call operator ( hard sometimes granted ) and insist that you speak to someone.
Eventually you will get some sense and your card removed , i wish you good luck!

If you are checking on line, there should be a link you can go to for payments, and while it will not be posted yet, it should say "pending" meaning they are in the process of taking care of it. I would check back though and make sure it actually went through. I usually wait 48 hours before checking back and by then my credit has shown up.

If you just turned 18, you will probably receive a lot of ‘pre-approved’ offers in the mail. Pick ONE to apply for. Use it ONLY for things you need and could pay cash for. Pay in full every month.

    • cali909boy 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

get secured credit card for 200$ and up is going to help you report to your credit

    • tonip1963 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

If you apply for a credit card, no matter what kind, you will be denied!! So this is what you do.

Go to the bank… citibank, and bank of america do it for sure… ask for a SECURED credit card application (as opposed to unsecured). For this you will need money. 200-2000 depending on how high you want the limit. YOu give them a money order for that amount, along with the application and they will send a credit card with a limit for your initial deposit.

You are free to use the card and pay off the card over the next 18 months. At the end of the 18 months, you get your deposit back plus about 1% interest and you can continue to use the card.

Once you have used the card for a few months you will get TONS of offers in the mail for more cards. Only get 4-6 cards MAX

    • wpgcoder 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

Search for a card that fits you perfectly… my source below has an excellent search function I havent found elsewhere – search for a poor credit credit card… this way, applying for the card is 100% approval… and you won’t ruin your credit by possibly being denied… use the card a couple of times, pay it off, then cut it up… cancel the card and apply for a new higher card two months later… you will have immaculate credit….

      START YOUNG!!

    • twentyfourandcantstopsmiling 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

Texaco and Chevron are giving out credit cards like crazy. Also, no credit really isn’t a bad thing with credit cards. I would look into student cards that banks offer or try capital one.

    • Jaded 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

Gas company cards are the easiest to get — and the best way to build credit from zero. Go to Texaco, Shell, Chevron, one of them, fill out an application and mail it in. You will surely get one, if you have a job. Then MAKE SURE not to abuse it. And PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OFF every month, and PAY ON TIME. Credit companies look for timely payments, good payment amounts, and length of the account. Pretty soon, you’ll get invitations to Major credit cards. But for God Sake BE CAREFUL. Credit cards can ruin you if you’re not careful. Take it from someone who knows…

    • lady01love 2:39 pm on October 5, 2010

I would recommend staying away from store and gas credit cards. They are easier to be get but they are also the easiest to get in trouble with. As a loan originator, I see people who are just starting to get credit get in the most trouble with those cards. If you belong to a credit union they would be the best place to go to start getting credit. The interest rates are a lot lower and usually will rarely go up. Starter loans (credit cards are loans) can start at about $300 to $500. You can also get secured loans where you would put the funds down and the bank or credit union holds the money until you pay off the loan they have given you.
